MEDLIFE: Moving Mountains Fundraiser

Philanthropy

In accordance with the continued spread of COVID-19 and rising cases in many countries across the Americas, Frisco College Consulting has joined the movement to raise money for impoverished Latin American communities.

Though this may not appear to be a helpful tip for college applications, we wanted to share with you an example of the many valuable opportunities available in college, as well as a way you can help a good cause and add to your resume in the process. By starting your own fundraiser for MEDLIFE’s mission and creating an account on their website, you can reach out to your friends and family to support those adversely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pictured above is one of our consultants, Michael, who attended a Service Learning Trip to Lima, Peru this January with Johns Hopkins University. He was able to help provide healthcare by setting up mobile clinics, taking vitals, assisting during dental surgeries, teaching children about tooth brushing, and distributing pharmaceuticals. Due to the pandemic, these impoverished communities are struggling to obtain food and water, as many of the families are unable to work remotely and cannot leave their homes.
